A Stroke Of Good Luck is a page-turning novel with dark twists and turns and an undercurrent of laugh-out-loud humor. Set in a small New England town, it is the story of Gloria Lombardias close knit and at times warring family and circle of friends as they support each other while taking risks to protect Gloriaas friend Apolonia, a young social worker, when Apolonia is stalked by the enraged husband of a woman she is trying to protect. Itas a story about missed opportunities for disaster. The title is taken from a quote by the Dalai Lama a Sometimes not getting what you want is a wonderful stroke of luck.
