St. Mark's Bookshop

Eileen Myles, author of The Importance of Being Iceland and Cool for You, among many other St. Mark's Favorites, will read from Inferno (a poet's novel).

This is significant for at least two reasons.

The first is that Inferno is being published by OR Books, and it won't be available at any other retail bookstore. OR is trying something new, something that should be good for both writers and readers, and we're happy to have this opportunity to celebrate the release of Inferno with them.

The second significance is that we're moving the reading series into the bookshop. Or we're trying to. A huge crowd would help to make the case for this being a good idea. Seriously. Come by next Tuesday, September 14th at 7:00 pm, hear from Eileen Myles and get her to sign a copy for you.
